With the spread of Coronavirus, companies are recommending that as many employees as possible work remotely until the virus can be slowed down.  Here are 5 tips for working from home:

1- Plan out what you will be working on ahead of time.

It can be challenging to keep track what you have to do throughout your day. Making to-do lists and using tools like Trello, solidifies your schedule the day before, making it feel more official and organised when you wake up for the next day.

2- Keep a dedicated office space.

The location, where you work is vital. Try to find yourself a comfortable spot to work that are not associated with leisure time, such as your room and on the sofa!

3- Structure your day like you would in the office.

Set your alarm, get started early, schedule lunchtime to break your day and choose a definitive finishing time.

4- Use communication tools, to keep in contact with your team.

Using other digital tools beyond emails, such as Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams can replicate the in-person office experience. 

5- Make it harder for yourself and remove distractions and stay off social media.

If the environment is too quiet, try having the radio or some music on in the background as you might do at work. Of course, if you have a busy household, ensure everyone around you knows when they can and can't disturb you.
